Coralisle Group makes the Top Ten Employers for the second time, having first received the accolade in 2022. The largest employer among the Top Ten, with 162 staff, CG is an international insurer and pension plan provider, and also operates a pharmacy in Bermuda.

Employees rave about a supportive, rewarding, growth-minded, innovative and community-focused culture in which they enjoy a high level of job satisfaction.

Long-lasting relationships are considered a cornerstone of success at CG. The company explains: “For us, this means being fair and flexible where possible, both with our customers and with our employees. We seek always to make judgments based upon doing what is right.”

CG is very much a local company, with a staff that is 91 per cent Bermudian and 56 per cent Black. It scored highly in the survey’s Diversity Award, placing third.

One employee said: “Staff here are friendly and welcoming, management is down to earth and approachable, and those factors matter more to me than anything else.” Another highlights the company’s “great leadership and sense of purpose in what we are doing”.

A “people-first” focus is evident. As one staff member commented: “They are not just playing lip service to their goals of helping staff and customers”.

Benefits include full healthcare coverage and 14 weeks of paid maternity leave (with the option of another 14 weeks unpaid), discretionary bonuses and external gym membership funding.

CG supports multiple Bermudian charities through activities including community service, sponsorships, donations and denim days.

The company also plays its part in developing local talent. The CG Internship Programme provides opportunities to students interested in a career in insurance.

It also supports the further education of Bermudian students through the Alan Peacock Coralisle Group Scholarship, an award worth $25,000 per year.
