Several employees made the point that Fidelis is a Bermudian-headquartered company whose senior executives live on island and care about Bermuda, something that supports a strong culture. An office overhaul, which includes an in-house gym available to staff, has served to further boost morale.
Benefits are also healthy. All staff are eligible for bonuses based on a target percentage of salary and dependent on company and personal performance. Senior staff are also eligible for Restricted Stock Awards that have a three-year vesting period. Female employees who have been with the firm for more than a year qualify for paid maternity leave of 24 weeks.
