Frontier Financial Services has become a familiar name in the Top Ten Employers, featuring for a seventh year in succession. Frontier, the 2018 Top Ten winner, provides recruitment, payroll, business consulting and immigration services through consulting arrangements and secondments.

For clients, Frontier plays a critical role by providing qualified professionals to fill temporary gaps in their workforce. For employees, Frontier can be a career springboard as some placements can turn into job offers.

When Frontier’s staff gett hired by clients, it represents a stamp of approval for the company’s services. The departures partly explain the company’s 39 per cent turnover – most left to join Frontier’s clients, while some left the island to pursue new opportunities.

Frontier, which placed second in the Diversity Award this year, has one of the youngest workforces among the Top Ten Employers, with more than half of its 64 staff aged under 35.

Staff speak of a strong emphasis of open, honest and transparent communication. One said: “There’s a genuine culture of listening, where employees’ voices are not only heard but also acted upon. The environment is diverse and inclusive, which makes collaboration richer and more meaningful. I also appreciate the support for personal and professional growth – a clear investment in people, which fosters a sense of belonging and motivation that I had not experienced as strongly before.”

Frontier’s philanthropic activity is very hands-on and focuses on provision of pro bono services such as accounting and recruiting to specific charities, a 50 per cent discount for others, as well as serving voluntarily on some charity boards, while making donations to some nonprofits.

The company also offers the Frontier Scholarship, supporting Bermudian accountancy students with $15,000 per year for up to three years. This year, three students are benefitting from the award.
