What is this MATH+A+THON?!
Designed to focus on encouraging Math Education, the Mathathon is a five-month long initiative that will visit all of Bermuda’s primary and middle schools (28 in total) between November 2019 and March 2020 for a fun 1-hour math directed event.

How does it work?
Each school will select 12 students to participate. These 12 students are divided into two teams of 6. During an hour-long special assembly, questions will be asked to each contestant for points. Participating children and those in the audience will learn and feel supported by professional math tutors and the powerful mind of “Math Man” who will support the host in creating a fun event. All 12 students will receive prizes.

Helping Schools and Students
Each school that participates will receive 8 sessions of private tutoring with a Planet Math tutor at no cost. Six lucky students will also receive free placement into the Planet Mathathon Camp in summer 2020.
