  • What are your early memories of getting involved with music?

I think my earliest memories of music are directly linked with Musical Theater. From a very young age I was involved with Gilbert & Sulivan Society plays (Annie being my first one). I remember how much fun it was, how inspired I was by Barbara Frith and Richard Fell, thier vilianous characters were such a favorite with the audience. It also gave me the opportunity to be amongst an amazing group of young Bermudian women ( Shiona Turini, Brittany Legere, Rebecca Faulkenberry, Rebecca Hanson, Jessica Frith, and Paget Troake) all of whom have had incredibly succesful careers.

  • What inspired you to fulfill it full time?

In-authenticity to who I wanted to be and what I was becoming. I have always had an internal battle when it came to pursuing music full-time. Finally, after a lot of inward exploration and realisation that I was going down a path that was hurting my soul and not a reflection of who I knew I was and wanted to be. I finally succame to the music, and boarded a plane to the UK. It wasn’t an easy descion, but it’s what’s ulitmately made me into a person I am very proud of. Like with so many people, music saved me.

  • How would you describe your road in the music industry so far?

Bumpy, joyful, inspiring, frustrating, and incredible! It is one of the most unique industries to be involved in, I have had so many unusual experiences, and have made so many incredible lifelong friendships along the way!

  • What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learnt that you would want to pass on to another younger artist?

Just be youself and it will all fall into place (but not nearly as quickly as you’d expect). You must be disciplined, hard working, and OK with the word NO. You must also celebrate your succeses, no matter how big or small, this is a lesson I am only just starting to take on board myself!

  • What have been some of the biggest milestones you’ve accomplished so far in your career?

There have been so many, but personally it’s sharing the stage with three of the most wonderfully talented men in the world. I feel so lucky to create music with these three magical men, I don’t know what I would do without them. Friendship like theirs, and experiencing this musical adventure with them has been priceless.

  • What do you have coming up in the next few months/ year that you are looking forward to?

Recently we opened up for UK punk godfathers ‘The Stranglers’ (23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning four decades, the Stranglers are one of the longest-surviving and most “continuously successful” bands to have originated in the UK punk scene.) along with UK rock queen Toyah Willcox. We got this offer out of the blue and were over the moon to be able to perform with these legends on June 1st.  We also have a whole host of festivals we’re playing, which we were very excited about ( special shout out to Sat in A Field Festival, the first festival to take a chance on us a few years ago, who are having us back this year).

  • How can people follow along with you or access your music?
